PREPARING FOR YOUR TREATMENT
• Come to your appointment with the area to be treated clean - free of make-up, lotion, deodorant and oils.
• Shave the area(s) 24 hours prior to your appointment. For laser hair removal appointments you do not want to wax, sugar or treat the areas with depilatory creams within 4 weeks prior to your appointment. The hair is needed in the follicle for your treatments to be successful.
• Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds, self-tanning lotions/creams/sprays) for 1-4 weeks before and 1-4 weeks after laser treatment.
• Use a broad-spectrum sun block (UVA/UVB) and SPF 30 or greater should be applied to the treatment area before any sun exposure.
• Avoid using any serums or lotions with active ingredients such as retinol or acids on the treatment area(s) 48 hours prior to your appointment.
WHAT TO EXPECT.
Laser treatments generally take multiple sessions to get the desired results. Results may vary from one person to the next depending on multiple factors and what concern we are treating. Each treatment has different protocols and post care instructions and we recommend scheduling a consultation prior to any treatments.
During your consultation we will go over any questions you may have, what your treatment plan and post care would look like for each individual and provide a patch test. Depending on the desired treatment and skin type, patch tests may take up to 24 hours to be sure of no adverse reactions. We recommend preparing for your consultation as you would the appointment.
